Fine Arts

The Shiloh Christian Fine Arts Department is dedicated to instructing students to use the gifts they have been given by their creative Creator. We have a wide variety of ways students can express themselves through the arts at Shiloh.

Students can participate in the High School One Act competition every fall as well as the High School Musical each Spring. All 7th Grade students participate in the Middle School Musical each fall as part of their choir experience.

The goal is to introduce students to the world of theater by participation to give them an understanding of the role theater plays in individual expression and in society.

  • Vocal/Choir
  • Band
  • Speech
  • Debate
  • Visual Arts

Campus Ministry

Ministry is a large part of the experience at Shiloh. Weekly Chapel, scripture memorization for elementary students, Bible class for middle and high school students, and mentoring through prayer buddies are just a few of the ways ministry is intertwined with student life at Shiloh.

Each year Shiloh adopts a school theme to incorporate into our learning, worship, and school community. The annual theme seeks to provide a focus on spiritual growth, promote the values of our school and be a continual reminder of our mission. With that being said, I have the pleasure of introducing the 2023-24 school theme, “Simply Enough: Immersed in Christ”.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching, and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given to you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.

1 Timothy 4:12-15

In Paul’s first letter to Timothy, Paul urges Timothy to find opportunities to be an example of Christ. Timothy's life was focused on reflecting Christ in a way that was obvious to everyone that he had a sincere passion for God. Timothy was called to set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. In addition, Paul instructs Timothy to read Scripture publicly, to preach, and to teach. In 1 Timothy 4:15, Paul uses the Greek phrase en toutois isthi.

This is a Greek phrase that has been translated into English in different ways.

NASB: “Be absorbed in them.”

BE:: “Give yourself to them with all your heart.”

NKJV: “Give yourself entirely to them.”

ESV: “Practice these things, immerse yourself in them.”

NLT: “Throw yourself into your tasks.”

Paul is literally saying don't be focused on other things but be deliberate and immerse yourself in your relationship with the Lord.  Let us have a remarkable year, understanding there is great joy in living our faith and devoting ourselves to the things of God!
