Mr. Buchmann
Head of School

Mr. Buchmann, a native of Stanton, ND, holds a post-secondary education that includes a BA from Dickinson State University, advanced degrees and certifications from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO, the University of Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver.

Before returning to North Dakota, Mr. Buchmann spent 25 years in education across North Dakota, Colorado, and Wyoming. His administrative background and experience in curriculum and instruction spans both charter and traditional public schools. Mr. Buchmann has held various roles including Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, and Principal.

Mr. Buchmann advocates for a strong and rigorous Christian education program that engages students and parents while reaching out to the local school community and modeling a Christ-centered culture. Students should be prepared for a life of service, enabling them to know, love, and serve God beyond the walls of Shiloh Christian School.

Married to his childhood sweetheart of 34 years, Nan; BJ has three sons who graduated from Faith Christian Academy in Wheatridge, Colorado. The oldest, Alex is stationed with the Marine Corps in Iwakuni, Japan. Adam, the middle son, is completing an advanced degree at Penn State after serving as a commissioned officer in the Marine Corp. The youngest, Aron, is a skilled carpenter and tradesman graduating from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND.

Dr. Vonda Dahl
K-12 Principal

Dr. Vonda Dahl was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she attended North County Christian School from kindergarten through high school. She earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology, a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a master's degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Ph.D. in Teacher Education. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of educational leadership roles, including first-grade teacher, instructional coach, instructional strategist, Title I interventionist, and District Literacy/MTSS Coordinator.

Dr. Dahl has been married to her husband, John, since 1983. Together they have four children and four grandchildren and enjoy life on their farm near Sterling, North Dakota. An avid reader with a love for historical fiction, she is also the founder of Project Armchair, a nonprofit organization that reads to and gifts books to homeless and hospitalized children.

Faith has always been central to Dr. Dahl's life and calling. She believes God has faithfully guided both her personal and professional journey, preparing her for this season of serving the students, families, and staff at Shiloh Christian School. Her vision is for every student to know they are uniquely valued and capable of reaching their God-given potential, while creating a school culture where every staff member feels heard, supported, and equipped to help students thrive.

Mr. Mark Kunze
Dean of Student

Mark Kunze is in his 34th year in education and is beginning his 12th year at Shiloh. Prior to joining Shiloh, he spent 19 years teaching in Bowman, two years in Turtle Lake, and one year at L.E. Berger Elementary in West Fargo. A graduate of New England Public High School, Mark earned a degree in Elementary Education with a coaching minor from Moorhead State University.

Mark has been married to Val, a pharmacist at Sanford Hospital, for 33 years. They have two sons who are both Shiloh graduates—Caden (Class of 2021), a welder at Bobcat, and Jace (Class of 2025), currently enrolled at BSC.

Outside of school, Mark enjoys watching sporting events, listening to music, and spending time with his two pets: JJ, a cat who loves to be held, and Bennie, his loyal “walking” dog.

Mark looks forward to working with Shiloh students in a new role as Dean of Students and continuing to partner with the school’s dedicated staff and families. Above all, he hopes to be part of a team and school community that serves as an extension of being Jesus’ hands and feet.

Pastor Jeremy Hein
Campus Pastor/Student Life Director

Pastor Jeremy Hein currently serves as Student Life Director, Campus Pastor ,and Bible Teacher at Shiloh. Pastor Jeremy has been leading the spiritual life and ministry for Shiloh students and staff for the past 11 years.

With a heart for discipleship and a passion for sharing the Gospel, he brings years of pastoral experience to his role, including time as an Associate Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor.

Throughout his ministry, Jeremy has focused on encouraging spiritual growth through biblical teaching, counseling, and student mentoring. His leadership emphasizes love, compassion, and the transformational power of Jesus Christ.

Being in a school setting has been especially fulfilling, allowing him to integrate faith and education while helping students grow in their relationship with God. His approach is rooted in teamwork, ministry development, and a deep commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God within academic communities.
