Operating Income

Tuition makes up the majority of Shiloh's income; but in order to achieve a balanced budget, Shiloh must also annually fundraise. The goal is that a strong, balanced budget keeps tuition accessible to families seeking a Christian education in a small-school environment.

Annual Fundraising Activities

This year, Shiloh's budgeted income from fundraising is $570,000. Here is how we breakdown that goal:

  • General Giving/Year-End Gifts = $165,000
  • Skyhawktion = $250,000
  • Giving Hearts Day = $15,000
  • Community Partners Program = $150,000

Annual Budget Needs

Shiloh's largest expense is wages and compensation accounting for over three-quarters of our total operating expenses.

Up until last year, Shiloh was carrying over operational debt from year-to-year. Thankfully, with God's provision, we have been able to pay off that debt. Going forward our goal is that with a balanced budget, we can start setting aside funds each year to help build 'rainy-day' funds for areas like technology and building maintenance.

The table at left illustrates some of the specific expenses we have this school year. Shiloh's fiscal year runs July 1 - June 30.

Our goal is to raise the remaining $2.2M by the end of construction in July 2025. Whatever amount is not secured, will be then rolled into a mortgage and will impact the yearly operating budget.

For more information or to make a donation to the capital campaign, please contact Laurie Eisenbeis at laurie.eisenbeis@shilohchristian.org or 701.220.3502.

The Friends of Shiloh Endowment Fund is a separate foundation focused on providing for the long-term financial stability. Through the generous support of donors, the endowment fund continues to see growth. The 2024 third quarter value was $3.97M. The foundation makes a 4% disbursement back to Shiloh through an annual distribution.

There are over 12 funds within Friends of Shiloh Foundation. These funds, detailed on our website; provide support to the general operating budget, along with specific funds for faculty, student scholarships, music and fine arts, and our newest fund to help ensure the upkeep and replacement of our turf for the athletic fields.

Donations to the Friends of Shiloh Foundation qualify for unique endowment credits that can benefit individuals and corporations.
